Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
At The Growth House, we speak to lots of clients who are struggling to translate good intentions regarding their Diversity agenda into meaningful impact and change. It is our firm belief that giving leaders from a diverse or minority background ‘a seat at the top table’ is only the start, those individuals need to feel that they are included, and that they truly belong.
That’s why we’re launching our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) programme, it is designed to help leaders move beyond good intentions and build workplaces where every individual feels seen, heard, and empowered.
We are thrilled to introduce two powerhouse leaders who have helped us to design and pilot this programme and who will be our key delivery partners.
Captain Mona Shindy is a trailblazing former Naval Officer, Mona knows first-hand that “Championing difference isn’t ever easy, for those who bring difference or those who receive it.” Mona helps leaders to navigate the discomfort of change and build environments where diverse talent can truly thrive.
Dr Melissa Taitimu is a clinical psychologist with deep expertise in creating ‘organisational belonging’, Melissa reminds us that “Diversity is embracing difference. Inclusion is valuing difference. Belonging is empowering difference.”
Our new programme is built on action, rather than theory — helping businesses to develop the skills, tools, and confidence to have challenging conversations and to create sustainable change. If you’re ready to move from positive intent to tangible impact, we’d love to help. Please drop us a message here or email us at DIB@thegrowthhouse.co.uk
Although each programme is bespoke and flexible. We do propose a recommended and proven sequence to the topics and behaviours we explore.

1. SETTING CONTEXT AND VISION

2. PAST SUCCESSES AND FAILURES

3. LANGUAGE SIGNAL AND BEHAVIOURS OF BELONGING

4. GENDER, ETHNICITY AND BELONGING

5. RECRUITMENT, RETENTION AND REWARD
